The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has successfully apprehended a gang of 17 individuals implicated in the murder of an officer and the assault on oil and gas facilities in the Niger Delta. During the arrest, authorities recovered significant evidence including an AK47 rifle, empty magazines, military uniforms, and boots from the suspects. The spokesperson emphasized that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects are expected to face legal proceedings soon. He also commended NSCDC Commandant-General Ahmed Audi for his logistical support, which has been instrumental in the corps’ endeavors against illegal bunkering and other criminal acts.
